Tersano: What is SAO?

Tersano have made creating SAO to clean your home or workplace simple with their easy-to-use SAO dispensers. Just add ordinary tap water, and the dispenser does the work for you.

With it’s diamond electrode technology, the dispenser takes normal oxygen (O2), charges it using “silent corona discharge” to split the oxygen and combine the molecules to create Ozone (O3). The O3 is then infused into regular tap water to create Aqueous Ozone.

Like a lot of chemical solutions, Aqueous Ozone has a lifespan. Impurities in the water solution can have a significant effect on the longevity of an Aqueous Ozone solution, so Tersano units use their exclusive patented stabilization process to take out specific minerals from the water – Tersano have conducted studies and standardised testing which prove this process improves the cleaning effect of their SAO by up to 15%.

Is SAO Safe?

In short – yes!

Previously we have spoken about Ozone being toxic, but this is because of it’s airborne nature and molecular instability causing it to attack nearby cells, including those in your respiratory system. However, Stabilised Aqueous Ozone cannot do the same, as it is not an airborne substance. As a liquid it’s a highly effective, safe, cleaning agent. The molecular instability causes it to attack germs and dirt on your surfaces, but once it’s done its job it will leave no harmful chemicals or residue behind.

It is safe to use around children and pets too – Tersano units are installed in many schools, veterinary clinics across the country.

How is it used?

Simply spray and wipe – that’s it!

SAO can be used anywhere you would normally use another cleaning solution: counters, food prep areas, restroom fixtures, touch points like door handles and bannisters, floors, walls, and more.

When the ozone particles inside the SAO liquid meet with germs, viruses, or odour causing bacteria, the third oxygen molecule will separate from the ozone and “attack”, destroying the membranes of cells and neutralising all microbes it comes into contact with.

SAO is proven to kill up to 99.999% of germs. Since it looks and smells just like water, you are probably going to question whether it does actually work, but Tersano can back up their claims with multiple studies proving the efficacy of their product.
